About the location: The intricately carved pillars and the marble steps offer an expectedly grand prelude to the stunning Mahavir temple inside the three decades old ashram and dharamshala. It is not a popular tourist sight but makes a veritable stop for the spiritually inclined. The pilgrimage center is the epicenter of nurturing the Jain cultural and religious heritage. The in-house museum, Samrat Samprati Sangrahalaya, house a number of bronze and stone idols, old Jain paintings and scrolls.
Brief History: The Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra was established in 1980, as one of the biggest International Research Centre in Indology and Jainism. The Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir in the complex is conceived and established by the inspiration and guidance of Rashtrasant Acharya Shri Padmasagarsuriji. This was initially visualised by his Dadaguru Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuriji.
